GREENVIEW - Lee Gowdy Biggs, 89, of Greenview died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at the Sunny Acres Home in Petersburg.

He was born Sept. 15, 1912, in Campbellsville, Ky., the son of Butler Johnes and Apie May Reed Biggs. he married Clara Margaret Cramer in 1936.

Mr. Biggs was a game warden n Menard County and a farmer, both for many years. He was a member of Assembly of God Church in Mason City.

Survivors: wife, Clara Margaret; a daughter, Betty Cooper of Pekin; five sons, Gary (wife, Peggy) Biigs of Greenview, Ken Biggs of Kansas City, Mo., and Jack (wife, Nancy), Doug (wife, Mary Ellen) and Bob (wife, Donna) Biggs all of Springfield; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lois Sablotney of Lincoln.

Services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Assembly of God Church in Mason City, the Rev. James Sprinkle officiating. Burial: Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview.

Hurley Funeral Home in Greenview is in charge of arrangements.
