Dr. Andrew Adams, a Glen Lyon native and brother of the late movie actor Nick Adams who portrayed The Rebel on television, died of an apparent heart attack Saturday morning at his home in Kankakee, IL. Dr. Adams was a practicing surgeon at several hospitals in the Kankakee area. He was 51. He was the son of Catherine (Kutzmonich) Adamchock, Berwick, and the late Peter Adamchock. A graduate of pre-med school at Fordham University and of Zurich Medical College, Germany, he completed his in Internship at Cook County Hospital, Chicago. His surgical residency completed at Northwestern University Hospital.
An Army captain, he served in France for two years. Dr. Adams was a member of the American Medical Association, Medical Burn Association, and Masonic Lodge 39 F&AM. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Rella Trepon, and four children, Michele, Rene, Bruce and Scott, all at home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:30 in Maternity BVM Church, Bourbonnais, 111. Friends may call Monday 2 to 5 anT7 to 9 at Clancy Funeral Home, Kankakee, 111., and Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 at Jan Fabian Funeral Chapel, Berwick. Interment and committal services will be at 9:30 at SS. Cyril Methodius Cemetery, Berwick.
