Mildred K. (Zike) Carroll, 96, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Windsor Manor Health Care. She was a resident of Indianapolis and a former resident of Greenwood.

She was born Nov. 11, 1907, in Martinsville. Her parents were Samuel H. (1866-1944) and Rosa May (Stewert) (1874-1967) Zike. She married William V. Carroll Sr. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two grandchildren, Tracey Harris of Lansing, Mich., and William V. Carroll III; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, William V. Carroll Jr.

She was employed for 15 years in the manufacturing department at Link-Belt.

A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 S. Madison Ave. in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday. Burial will be at Centennial Cemetery in Martinsville.

She worked manufacturing at Link Belt for 15 years.

Services will be Tuesday, December 2 at 1 p.m. at G.H. Herrmann Madison Ave. Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave., with visitation Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Centennial Cemetery in Martinsville.

Survivors include 2 grandchildren: Tracey Harris and William Carroll III; 4 great grandchildren: Benjamin, Tabetha, John and Jennifer Harris; daughter-in-law: Louise Carroll; several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Carroll, Sr. and her son William Carroll, Jr.

The Family would like to thank the staff at Windsor Manor Health Care and the friends who cared for her there.
