Research by J. Kelsey Jones in 1988:
Elizabeth Price m. 5 July 1753 (Machackemeck Reformed Church record) Jacobus (James) Devore, widower of Evje (Eva) Dingeman baptized 4 Jan 1707/8 (New York Reformed Dutch Church) son of David Deveaux and Engeltje Cornelis. In the mariage record she is "Lisabeth Prys, young woman, born in N. Engellant (New England) and both dwelling at Palingskill (Paulinskill)." The Paulinskill River traverses through Frankford township in Sussex County where the Price family resided.

They settled on the north side of the Monongahela River in southwestern Pennsylvania and operated a ferry. Where they resided was Cumberland County, Pennsylvania until 1771; Rostraver Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania until 1773; Edward Ward’s District, Yohogania County, Virginia from 1776-1781; in 1781 once again became part of Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania which became Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania in 1788 and now part of Forward Township. James was on the 1773 Rostraver tax list. Will of James dated 14 Nov 1778 probated Mar 1779 Yohogania County, Virginia.
