Michael was born and raised in Union City, Indiana by Ollie Edward Webb & Ida Belle Crawford-Webb. He was the youngest of their children. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the US Army and proudly served our country for 14 years. During that time, he married his childhood sweetheart, Toyia Stewart, and started a family of their own. Together, they raised three children, all while traveling to various parts of the world where he was stationed. Eventually, he retired from active duty and settled down in the pacific northwest, calling Washington State home. Watching their children grow up and leave home to start their own lives, they began the next chapter in theirs; becoming grandparents. Altogether, they were blessed with 4 grandchildren. Now, better known as Nana & Papa, they spent every moment spoiling their grandchildren, making sure to cherish every moment. Once he found out that he had cancer, he made the decision to fight and not let it decide his fate. He lived each day as if it were his last, not taking things for granted. He persevered and enjoyed a brief period of remission before his cancer returned. As he was planning the next round of treatment, he fell ill and was in the fight for his life. Though his will was strong, his body was not. He was called home on April 17, 2020 to be with family and friends that have gone before him. He's survived by his brother, Rick Webb, of Union City, IN; His wife, Toyia Webb, of Tacoma, WA; Their three children, his son, Jason Webb of Tacoma, WA, his daughter, Heather McLendon of Puyallup, WA, his son, Joshua Webb of Tacoma, WA; and his four grandchildren, Madison & Colton Webb & Christopher & Emma Webb.
A private service will be held at Tuell-Mckee Funeral Home in Tacoma, WA on April 24, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. Following his service, He will be laid to rest in Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA with full military honors performed at a later memorial date.
