Hilda G. Hall, 91, formerly of Montgomery, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2004 in the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.
Born in Delaware Twp., Northumberland County, PA, on Friday, October 10, 1913, she was the daughter of the late William and Ellen (Leech) Phillips.
She was the widow of William L. Hall who preceded her in death on October 18, 1998.
She was a 1931 graduate of Montgomery-Clinton High School. Hilda worked with her husband who was a long time butcher in the grower's market at Williamsport, PA.
She was a member of the Clinton Baptist Church at Montgomery, PA where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the American Baptist Women. Hilda was a member of the former Business and Professional Women of Montgomery.
She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley A. and DelRoy Harman, Silver Spring, MD; Jane H. and Arnold Reed, Montgomery, PA; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Philip M. and Mary Patricia Hall, Corpus Christi, TX. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, an infant son in 1950 and William L. Hall III in 1979; 4 brothers, Arthur, Chester, Philbert and Paul Phillips and 3 sisters, Anna Miller, Dorothy Waltman and Eva Hoff.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Clinton Baptist Church, 60 Warren Street, Montgomery, PA at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 with Reverend Larry LeFeber, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Lutheran "Brick" Cemetery, Clinton Twp., Lycoming County, PA. Friends may call on Tuesday from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the church. The family will provide the flowers.
