Her genealogy blood lines include McIntosh, Hight, Grace, Armstrong and Longs. She was a life long member and oldest member of Nortonville United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Barnes; daughter, Judy Morgan; four sisters, Lola Oates, Opel Keith, Ruby Bilbro and Pauline Graddy; and brother, Robert McIntosh.
