Delilah was the daughter of Rev. John Corbly and his second wife Elizabeth Tyler. Delilah and her family were attacked by Indians near Redstone Fort, PA in May, 1782, in what is known as the "Corbly Massacre." Although Delilah was scalped by the Indians, she survived by hiding in a hollow tree. Her mother, brother, and two sisters were killed. Delilah recovered, married Levi Martin probably in Washington Co., PA, and raised a large family.
