Fr. James F. Healy passed away on April 18, 2020 leaving one surviving brother, Thomas Kevin Healy and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Patrick A. Healy and Anne B. Healy nee Loughran, natives of Derry and Belfast, Ireland, his brother Eugene V. Healy, and his sisters, Anne Flanagan, Maureen Sledge and Margaret (Patsy) Moore.
Fr. Healy was ordained at St. Peters Basilica in Rome in1966. He served at Church of the Magdalene in Pocantico Hills, St. John the Evangelist in White Plains, pastor of St. Vito’s in Mamaroneck, and pastor of St Paul the Apostle in Yonkers. He also was a faculty member at Cardinal Spellman in the Bronx, administrator of Mount St. Mary H.S. in Newburgh, and Dean of Studies and President of Archbishop Stepinac H.S. in White Plains. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Due to restrictions as a result of the pandemic, the Burial will be privately held at St. John’s Cemetery in Goshen.
