J. W.[sic] Jackson, father of W.A. Jackson, passed away at Shawnee March 9, 1941. Mr. Jackson was born in Missouri April 1,[sic] 1849. He was converted and united with the Free Will Baptist church early in life. He had lived at Shawnee for the past 24 years. His wife preceded him in death seven years ago, since which time he has made his home with a son, J.F. Jackson in Shawnee. He was buried in Shawnee by the side of his wife. One daughter and four sons survive.
