Griggs is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Emmie Lee Starnes Medlin Laney;
Sisters, Dorothy Little and Betty Chambers of Kannapolis; Carol Tucker and Donna Eubanks of Monroe; Patsy Harper of Myrtle Beach;
Daughter, Anna Easler;
3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren
He is predeceased by

A visitation was held on Saturday January 6 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe.
A Funeral Service will be held today, Sunday January 7, 2018, at 2:30 pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
