In 1985, he relocated to Hibbing, MN and was principal at Jefferson Elementary before coming to Valley Center’s West Elementary for the remainder of his career. As a well respected educator, he was known for creating fun at school, yet serious about student achievement. Remembered for making every student feel special, he had nicknames for all of them and a boisterous laugh heard through the hallways.
