I knew Larry from work, working side by side we became friends. Larry had a sense of humor, was fun to work with and was a skilled machinist always volunteering to take on the most difficult machining jobs and was a master Bridgeport mill man. He was a twin and his twin brother, Garry Lee Hood preceded him in death. They are buried next to each other. Larry and his companion, Joyce E. Lewis were killed in a motorcycle accident just east of U.S. 31 on I-465, Indianapolis. At the time of his funeral the police were still investigating the cause of the accident. He apparently was forced into a guardrail? His father was Gerald H. Hood and his mother is Della Mae (Frazier) Hood. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon N. Martinez, brothers Terry, Jerry, Rob, Bobby, and Tim Hood, sisters Geraldine Sweet, Sherry McClain, Darlene Johnson, Tammy Cooper, and grandchildren Isaac Webster, Canela Rosa-Hood, and Francisco Martinez.
