Clarence E. Clingaman, 73, 613 Madison Ave., died there Tuesday, May 17, 1983.
Born in Miami County on July 8, 1909, he was the son of Charles F. and Lucy M. Wigner Clingaman. He married Ethel Utter on Jan. 4, 1932, and she survives.
Also surviving are three sons, James, Robert and Jerry, all of Peru; a daughter, Janis Brown, Yorksville, Calif.; three brothers, Warren of Peru, Christopher of Marion and Roland of California; a sister, Lillian Brooks of Peru; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Clingaman was retired.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, the Rev. Jack Correll officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
