In 1896 he married Josephine R. Skie. To this union were born ten children, nine of whom are living: Clara M. Legue, Esther Selma, Agnes Othelie, Pear Jeanette, Mabel Florence, Elmer Ernest, Ruby Amanda, Raymond, and Albert J. Junior.
A son, Jerome Mathew, died in infancy.
At the time of his death he, with his family were living in Amboy, Minn.
He leaves beside his family two brothers and four sisters to mourn his death.
He died on Sunday evening, April 25, the age 49 years, 11 months, 14 days.
