Raymond was a mason most of his life. He attended York County Vo-Tech High School. In addition to his father, he is survived by a son, Raymond W.; brother, Kirk A. Bankert; nephew, Derek A. Bankert; and his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Mathias. He is also survived by his beloved miniature Daschund, Bumpers.
He was arguable the world's biggest Miami Dolphin fan. His most enjoyable moments were his yearly trips with his best friend, Kevin Helm; son, Raymond; and other friends of his to a dolphins game of their choosing.
Raymond was cremated. In his memory please do a kind deed for your fellow man.
