Daniel B. Hart, of Altoona, husband of Jennie Stoudnour Hart, former Martinsburg resident, died at his home at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning, July 26, 1941, following a short illness. He was well known in the Martinsburg community where he had many friends. He was born in Altoona on May 7, 1874, a son of Peter and Clarinda Lindsay Hart, and had resided in the city all his life. He was employed for many years by the P. R. R., but had retired in 1939. He was a member of the First Church of the Brethren, Altoona. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jennie Stoudnour Hart, two brothers and two sisters, David M. Hart of Akron, O.; Harry J. Hart, Mrs. Robert Smith, and Mrs. Charles Smith, all of Altoona. His widow is a sister of Mrs. John H. Kensinger, Mrs. Mahlon B. Wineland, and Samuel B.Stoudnour of Martinsburg, and the late Lee B. Stoudnour of Roaring Spring was also her brother. Private funeral services were held at the home Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.in charge of his pastor, Rev. W. S. Long, and interment was made in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
