Tony H Bednar, 94, died Wednesday evening at the Fourth Avenue Cedar Rapids Care Center following a long illness.
Born July 11, 1889, in Linn County, He married Mary Kolar. She died in 1975. He was a general laborer for Quaker Oats Co. and a member of WFLA Karel Lodge.
Surviving are a daughter, Helen Stark of rural Cedar Rapids; a sister, Rose Lucherhand of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Joe, also of Cedar Rapids.
Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Brosh Chapel. Burial: St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 3 to 8 p.m. today.
