Bob enlisted in the US Navy and served during the Korean Conflict on the U.S.S Borakacon Aircraft Carrier. He married Mary Wanda (Whitney) Hamilton January 4, 1953 in Lubbock at the First Baptist Church. Bob worked and operated several floral companies including Hamilton Floral in Lubbock, Hoy's Flowers in Brownfield, Maben Whole Floral Company, and Texas Floral Company both in Lubbock, and part owner for Mac's Floral shop for 20 years. Bob loved being outdoors working on the yard and the flower beds. Bob also enjoyed reading and watching westerns. He was a member of Sunset Church of Christ.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 year, Mary; children, Debbie Hamilton Servin of Leo, Texas, Brad Hamilton of Lubbock, Brent Hamilton of Lindale, Texas; siblings, Jeanette Hamilton Meineeke of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Joyce Hamilton Henry, Patsy Hamilton Bel; grandparents, Robert Franklin and Myrtle (Grant) Hamilton, and George Henry and Neppie Edith (Weatherford) Grissom.
