Steven Luedeman, 66, of North Vernon, passed away at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, April 6, 2020, at SouthPointe Healthcare Center in Indianapolis.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2020, at Hayden Cemetery. Rev. Dan Corbin will officiate. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Born October 30, 1953, in Seymour, Steven was the son of Clyde and Rita (Burgmeier) Luedeman. He was united in marriage to Joann Schwanholt on April 14, 1990. She survives.

Steven also known as Luedy to all who loved him, was a member of the Train Collectors Association and enjoyed being an American Flyer Train Collector. Being an outdoorsman, he loved hunting mushrooms, picking blackberries and gardening. Steven liked going to flea markets and antique stores. He also liked baking and was known to many as “the fudge man.” Most of all Steven cherished time spent with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Joann Luedeman of Elizabethtown, survivors include son, Steve (Jamie) Luedeman of North Vernon; daughter, Shannon (Isaiah) Tyler of North Vernon, and Jaimee Luedeman of North Vernon; brothers, Tony Luedeman of Hayden, Larry (Sher) Luedeman of Hayden, Jerry (Teresa) Luedeman of Scottsburg, Tom (Dorothy) Luedeman of Hayden, and John (Missy) Luedeman of Seymour; grandchildren, Shacey, Brooklyn and Braden Root, Aiden Sanders, Deeandra and Samantha Luedeman.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Rita Luedeman; granddaughter, Tori Root.
