Memorial services for former McMinnville resident Sharon L. Sparks of Salem will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville.
The Rev. Warren Haynes of Dallas First Baptist Church will officiate.
Interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery, McMinnville.
Mrs. Sparks died of heart complications March 5, 2001, in her home. She was 48.
Born May 11, 1952, in McMinnville, she was the daughter of Arnold and Verna Wright Norris. She grew up outside McMinnville and graduated from McMinnville High School in 1970.
She received her licensed professional nursing degree from a nursing school in Moses Lake, Wash. She received her registered nursing degree from Chemeketa Community College in Salem.
Mrs. Sparks had lived in Salem for 10 years, and she worked there. She was a cat lover and enjoyed sewing and crocheting dolls.
Survivors include a son, Jim Sparks of Salem; her father, Arnold Norris of Amity; her mother, Verna Norris of Salem; a brother, David Norris of Newberg; and a sister, Margie Pearce of Dallas.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Oregon Humane Society in care of Macy & Son, 135 N.E. Evans St., McMinnville, OR 97128.
