James Monroe Collier was the son of H.H. & Sarah Crittenden Collier.
He was a Private with the 31st TN INF Co. C (A.H. Bradford), he died at the Battle of Perryville and was buried in a mass grave.
Note: According to the TN Civil War Annals he was in Co. A, but Co. C is listed on his muster records.
