Delton Ray Hammer, age 84, of Franklin, WV, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV. He was born on August 27, 1935, in Franklin, WV, the son of the late Marvin Ray and Nellie Icadora (Mitchell) Hammer. Delton married Charlotte Corrina (Judy) Hammer, who preceded him in death on March 23, 2012.
Mr. Hammer is survived by: a daughter, Debbie Mowery (Chris) of Franklin, WV; a son, Douglas Hammer of Franklin, WV; a sister, Myrtle Hammer of Franklin, WV; a brother, Albert Hammer (Grace) of Franklin, WV; 2 grandchildren, Kelly and Shane; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Warner.
