*This hospital was at Spectacle Island and was removed to Rainsford Island in 1737. There was issue with an Indian [Native American] burial ground at Spectacle and all burials discontinued at Spectacle Island, so in 1738 the burial absolutely had to be at Rainsford. The family prob did have to go to Spectacle Island where lodging may not have been set up at Rainsford, but he was interred at Rainsford.

Note: I had requested in the past that Rainsford Island be added to the drop-down list at Find A Grave, and was told no, he couldn't add every single town. Towns that don't exist are on the drop-down list, but not valid places. So just know he died at Rainsford Island, which was, and still is considered Suffolk County. I'm not so sure of the burial for "James Speare, Sr", the birth date is correct, but his name and death date are not; and there was no research on the burial as well, but I had entered Joseph Spear when I created the profile for Rainsford Island and must have gotten deleted for the incorrect information given on the other profile.
