Apex - Ruth Mann Stephenson, 81, died Wednesday, April 30th after an extended illness.
A native of Wake Co., Mrs. Stephenson was a homemaker and a member of Catawba Springs Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carey F. Stephenson.
A service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Catawba Springs Christian Church. Officiating are Rev. Franklin Pierce and Dr. David Leuthy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are brothers, E. F. Mann and Bobby H. Mann, both of Raleigh, Henry A. Mann of Apex; sister, Ann M. Foote of Apex; several nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at Mitchell Funeral Home, 600 St. Mary's St., Raleigh.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, North Hills Office Mall, Suite 141, 4208 Six Forks Rd., Raleigh, NC 27609 or the American Diabetes Association, 3109 Poplarwood Court, Suite 125, Raleigh, NC 27604-1043.
