TODD ANDERSON HOLTON, age 67 of Alvin passed away on April 6, 2020. He was born in Beaumont, Texas to parents Jack Felder Holton and Delores Jeannine (Brown) Holton on June 30, 1952. Todd married the love of his life, Patricia (Austin) Holton at Calvary Baptist Church in Beaumont on April 6, 1974. He taught Adult Bible School at Heights Baptist Church for 27 years and Vacation Bible School to 2nd graders alongside his wife, Pat, and children Kevin and Kristin for many years. Todd was a part of the Global Media Outreach Ministry online. At HBC he was also a member of the drama team and the choir. One of his greatest honors was being ordained as a Deacon in 1998. He graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas with a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education in 1974 and earned a Master’s Degree in counseling from University of Houston Clear Lake in 1987. Todd always had a positive attitude about life, no matter what it brought! He saw each stage of his Primary Progressive MS as a new normal.

Todd taught Physical Science and Geology at Alvin High School for 32 years. He was also a Driver’s Ed instructor for many of those years. He had a great passion for Geology and was an avid rock collector. Camping was his and his family’s favorite past time. They traveled all over the United States and even took a 56 day long trip leading up to Alaska and back in 1994. Todd also enjoyed doing Nature Photography, loved viewing the wonders of God’s Heavenly creations through his telescope and sharing that passion with Pat and their children, and played the clarinet in the Alvin Community Band.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Jeannine Holton; grandparents: Ellou Holton and Walker F. Holton, Thelma M. Brown and Thomas F. Brown.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia A. Holton; children: Dr. Kevin Todd Holton and wife Carrie Lynn of Mission, Texas, Kristin Michelle and husband Kyle Edward Austin of Lewisville, Texas; grandchildren, Austin Parks Holton and Kylie Leann Austin; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
