He was a Korean War veteran and served in the Navy, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine, He retired in 1979 from National Gypsum Co. He was a sub chief for the Snipe Clan on the Tonawanda Reservation.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Rosowski, who he married in 1992; his children Curtis Abrams, Christine Abrams, Francine (Dale Graff) Abrams, Tony (Roxanne) Abrams, Alan Abrams, Jeffrey Alband and Michelle Abrams; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and siblings, Walter (Lenore) Abrams, Myron Abrams and Shirley Snyder.
