A resident of Darrow, she died unexpectedly at 41 on Monday, January 23, 2017 at her home. She was a native of French Settlement and born on November 17,1975. A visitation will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church 15710 LA Hwy. 16, French Settlement, LA 70733 on Saturday, January 28th at 10am until 12noon with a Celebration of Life service conducted by Father Jason Palermo at 12 noon. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Avery Latham, father and mother, Gary and Elizabeth Murphy of French Settlement, step daughter Megan Turner, like a son Alex Pinetten, one sister, Brigette M. Martin and husband James of French Settlement, sisters-in-law Toni and Brittany, brothers-in-law Ricky, Alvin and Corey, Special dog Molly Binkie, special niece, Amber Martin, godchildren Ricketta Dunn and Christopher Templet and numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother-in-law Isabella Lathan, godmother and Aunt Delores V. Aucoin, grandparents Herman and Emma Vicknair, and Jesse and Lucy Murphy. She graduated from French Settlement High School in 1993, received her Bachelor's degree from LSU in 1998 and her Master's degree in Social Work from LSU in 2000. She was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)for the past 14 years and loved her job helping others. She was a great sister and friend to many. She touched so many lives with her big heart of compassion. She was beautiful inside and out. There is now another angel in Heaven. Your light will be missed, but never lost. We love you.
