Juanita Abeyta, 90, of the Gila Valley, passed away April 20, 2005. Juanita was born to Gregorio and Paula Cheney Orante on June 24, 1914. She was a native of the Gila Valley who loved planting flowers, playing Bingo, dancing and cooking.
Juanita met Ray Abeyta, and they were married March 31, 1937. They had three children, Ray Abeyta Jr., Danny Abeyta and Lydia Trujillo, all residents of Safford. She also had 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
