Mr. Freeman was born on March 22, 1959, in Henry County, VA to the late Cole Freeman and Opal Whiten Freeman.
Mr. Freeman enjoyed the great-outdoors and especially loved fishing. He was always a happy person, proving to be a fighter over the course of his life, as he recovered from many injuries. While he was disabled, he was very much independent, and always carried his own weight. Even in death, Edgar fought a good fight. He will always be remembered as a loving son, wonderful brother, and a friend to many.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Keith Freeman.
Survivors include his mother, Opal Freeman, of Mocksville; and three brothers, David Freeman, Mark Freeman, and Michael Freeman.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, April 3, in Turrentine Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Fred Carlton officiating.
