She was born March 28, 1903, in Tipton County, Tenn., to Sam and Clara Wiggins Boyd.
Surviving is one daughter, Julia Boddie of Peoria.
She was preceded in death by one son, Willie James Summerville; four brothers; five sisters; and one grandson.
She was a domestic in Chicago before retiring in 1970.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
