FLINTON - Ronald Lee Ammerman, 79, of Flinton, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at Bon Secours Holy Family Hospital, Altoona. Born Nov. 7, 1923, in Frugality, he was a son of William P. and Ella (Lee) Ammerman.
He was a 1942 graduate of Reade Township High School and served in the Army during World War II as a private.
He attended Mountaindale Baptist Church.
He is survived by daughters Brenna and Taryn in Ohio and Kirsti in Massachusetts; a son, Ronald G. of Flinton; a sister, Lucreshia R. Krise of Mountaindale; and a special friend, Linda J. Hull of Flinton.
Mr. Ammerman was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Winter and Denver; and sisters Violet Eamigh, Wilmena Hamilton, Treeva Hanna and Orveta Connley.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at Mountaindale Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Warfel officiating. There will be no public visitation at the request of Mr. Ammerman.
McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, is in charge of the arrangements.
