A private graveside service for Kelcy C. “Butch” Briscoe, Jr., age 73, of Grenada, will be on Monday, March 30, 2020 at Wayside Cemetery near Scobey, Mississippi. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.

Butch died Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the Greenwood-Leflore Hospital.

He was born on June 9, 1946 in Biloxi, Mississippi and was the son of the late Kelcy Briscoe, Sr. and Ruby Jarvis Briscoe.

Through the course of his life, Butch worked at Pennaco Hosiery Mill, Grocery Basket, Long’s Flowers and Shoney’s, all in Grenada. He attended Faith Fellowship Church in Grenada.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Beverly Briscoe.

He is survived by one sister, Betty McDaniel, and her husband Greg, of Marks; two nephews, Gregory McDaniel of Oxford and Joseph McDaniel of Marks; and two nieces, Kelly Polsgrove and Angie Harper, both of Paducah, Kentucky.
