Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, in the chapel of Moody Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating.
Burial was in Addie Cemetery.
She was a daughter of the late Lawrence W. Hall and Annie Bryson Hall. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, quilting, puzzles and feeding wildlife.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, George W. Ammons; one son, David Ammons; one daughter, Janice Mills; three brothers, Charlie, Bill and Ed Hall; and one sister, Lucy Mae Rich.
Surviving are three sons, Ray Ammons of Sylva, Hubert Ammons of Hendersonville, and Bobby Ammons of Palm Coast, Fla.; four daughters, Shirley Acree of Fernwood, Idaho, Dorothy Bacon of Waynesville, Linda Taylor of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Betty Sue Smith of Sylva; two sisters, Lella Allen of Fernwood and Lovel Rich of Osburn, Idaho; 21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
