Holly M. Addington, age 57, of Grants Pass, Oregon went home to be with her Lord on September 22, 2016.
She was a “Firecracker” baby born on the 4th of July, 1959, to parents Bobby and Jean Pruitt of Grants Pass.
Holly and her family lived in Sams Valley, Medford and Central Point, Oregon. She graduated from Crater High School in Central Point, Class of 1977. She later attended two years at Puget Sound College of the Bible in Seattle, Washington.
On September 15, 1979, she married her beloved husband, Doug, and they were blessed with two children and 37 years of marriage.
Holly served as a faithful and devoted military wife and mom for 17 years. In addition to traveling all over the United States with her military husband, the family resided in California, Wyoming and North Dakota.
Nothing brought Holly more joy than being with her grandchildren, Sami and Corbin. Many of her hobbies centered around family activities like board games, trips to the cabin and camping. She also had a tender spot for her dogs and horses.
All who knew Holly would say that she was the best wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, homemaker and good friend. She had an angelic personality that would light up any room with energy, joy and love.
Holly was strong in her Christian faith, and was very active in the Jerome Prairie Bible Church in Grants Pass.
She is survived by her husband, Doug Addington; children, Jason (Annie) Addington, and Joy (Sean) Norvell; her father, Bobby Pruitt; two grandchildren, Sami and Corbin; plus five brothers and sisters.
Holly was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Pruitt.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Jerome Prairie Bible Church, 2564 Walnut Avenue, Grants Pass. Pastor James Downing will be officiating.
