Doris was the second child born into the Walter Smiley Weatherwax family. Born in New Mexico, she was delivered by her father Walter. Her father considered her the most intelligent of his children and wanted her to go to college. Doris was a talented painter and an astrologer. She had a profound understanding of Astrological symbols and spent hours calculating horoscopes by hand. When Doris was 20 years old she married Dick Scut. Dick and Doris had only one child who lived, her name was Esther Scut. Eventually Esther married and had two boys Mike and Jeff. (Doris and Esther are pictured at left.)

Gravesite Details
Doris was cremated, her ashes were scattered in the Rose Garden of Valhalla cemetery in North Hollywood.
