Velma had been employed by Lancaster Glass Co. and Dunbar Glass Co. and was a longtime member of the Dunbar First Church of God. She had been a resident of Dunbar for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Harmon, her brother, Russell Kay and 10 other brothers and sisters.
Velma is survived by her granddaughters, Tammy Campbell and her fiancé, Larry Rogers and Terry Whitt; grandson, Allen Harmon and his wife, Beverly; great grandchildren, Alex Harmon, Ryan Campbell, Cody Campbell, Jessie Whitt, Trisha Whitt & Whitney Harmon. Velma is also survived by her close friends, Jane Parsons and Harold & Theone Hammack.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, October 9, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Dr. McCallister, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
