CAMPBELL, Mo. -- Jack Abernathy, 83, of Campbell, Mo., died Thursday, March 22.
He was a veteran of World War II, retired manager of Barton Lumber Co. and member of Campbell First Baptist Church, serving as deacon and song leader.
Services were held Sunday in Campbell.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Cashion Abernathy of Campbell; sons, Dr. Steve Abernathy of Jonesboro and Keith Abernathy of Bernie, Mo.; daughter, Pam Buchanan of Gideon, Mo.; grandchildren, John and Grey Abernathy of Jonesboro; Sydney and Karsyn Abernathy of Bernie and Benjamin Buchanan of Gideon; and brother, Terry Abernathy of Troy, Ill.
