Pastor Harold "Red" Stevens age 79 of Lowmansville, KY went to be with the Lord on Sunday evening February 5, 2006. Harold was born August 13, 1926 in Matewan, WV the son of the late John and Ella Burchett Stevens. He was a retired coal miner, member of the Walnut Grove FWB Church, Kentucky Colonel and WWII Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Bessie Akers Stevens who died April 19, 1984, a Son-n-law: Mike Havens, a Sister: Peggy Stepp and a Grand-son-n-law: James Lowe.
Survivors Include:
4 Daughters: Betty Borders, Anna Sue Cole, Brenda (Leonard) Vanhoose, and Cathy Havens
2 Sons: Larry (Sheila K.) Stevens and Harold Scott (Anita) Stevens
1 Brother: Billy Ray Stevens
11 Grandchildren
6 Great Grandchildren
and a host of loving neices and nephews
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday Feb 9th at 1:00pm at the Walnut Grove FWB Church by Rev. Willie Gene Hayes and Rev. Jimmy Vanhoose. Burial followed in the Stevens Cemetery at Lowmansville, KY.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
