Sonya Alford Coppedge, a resident of Amelia, passed away March 20, 2020, at her residence at the age of 72. She was born in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Betty Lou and Jason Alford. Sonya was the beloved wife of David Coppedge, loving mother of Anna Coppedge, Beth Shoemaker (Anthony) and Christian Coppedge, cherished grandmother of Avery, Wyatt, Orion, Steve, Ellie, Hannah, Raistlin, Caramon and David and great-grandmother of Jasper, Damian and Aliza. She was a dear and devoted sister to Joella Pryor, Sherry Caldwell, Terry Alford, Sheila Baker, Roger Alford, June Prather and the late Beverly Ray Alford. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Sonya was an appointed missionary for the International Mission Board SBC and the North American Mission Board SBC. She was an exceptionally caring, giving and loving person who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
