Ira Arnold Of Palmyra Dies Here Friday
Ira Arnold, 71-year-old resident of Palmyra, died at 1:10 a.m. Friday at Norris hospital, where he had been a patient since June 5.
He is survived by his widow, Rena; four sons: Sidney and Junior, both of Chatham, Jimmy of West Long Branch, N.J. and Larry of Jacksonville; two stepsons: Maurice Busch of Chatham and Dale Busch of Springfield; three daughters: Clarabelle Lester of Springfield, Eleanor Harper of Hector, Minn, and Barbara Jackson of Greenfield.
Also surviving are two brothers, Ralph Arnold of Chesterfield and Clarence Arnold of Townsend, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Jula Shearburn of Palmyra; 27 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Stults Funeral Home in Palmyra where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday.
