Susan was born November 10, 1919 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late John and Amelia (Roberto) Petto. She was educated in Waterbury Schools. Prior to her retirement, Susan had worked at Sherwood Medical for over 19 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and was also a member of the Holy Name Society. Susan loved Bingo and was a talented baker, especially her holiday cookies.
She leaves her daughter Phyllis Hilt and her husband Wayne of Haddam Neck, her sisters Yolanda Zarrella of Bethlehem and Josephine Lorusso of Woodbury, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a great great grandson and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Amelia Taggett, her brothers Anthony and Frank Petto, a sister Helen Gaudiosi and a grandson Thomas Joseph Agli.
