MARVIN PARKER IS MY UNCLE -- R. A. PARKER

Marvin Parker, 89, passed away, Friday, August 4, 2000, at MCI Hospital, Independance, Missouri. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Friday, August 11, at Thurman funeral Home, Richmond, Missouri; burial in Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitations will be one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Building Fund of Woods Chapel Church of God, Lee's Summit, MIssouri.
Mr. Parker lived in the Kasas City-Independance area for many years. He worked as a journeyman plumber, until he established his own business and served as master plumber until his retirement. He lived most of his retirement years on a farm in Rayville, Missouri. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents, William and Althea Haskins Parker; brothers, Everett Parker, Arthur Parker and Cecil Parker; and sister Martha Brown. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Finch Parker; son, Marvin Dale Parker; two daughters, Delene Pierce and Jeannie Bacon; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, William B. Parker and sister, Elvie Manning.
