Walter Henry Bringewatt was born to William and Anna Frede
Bringewatt Oct. 23, 1902, at Tobias, Saline County, Nebraska, and died Feb. 15, 1978, at the Jefferson County Memorial Hospital, Fairbury, at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 22 days. His early childhood was spent on a farm south of Tobias, Neb. He attended public school near Daykin and later Parochial school at Tobias. He farmed with his parents until his marriage to Laura A. Bartels of Ohiowa, Neb.,on April 30,1925. To this union two children were born. They lived on a farm west of Daykin, until 1938 when they moved to the Alexandria area where they farmed until retiring in 1967 and moving to Davenport. Mr. Bringewatt had been baptized and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church, Tobias in 1917.He was preceded in death by one son, Merle, his parents, three sisters, and two brothers. Survivors are his wife, Laura, daughter, Opal Bringewatt of Alexandria; brothers, Frank of Bruning and Ben of DeWitt; sisters, Ida Bringewatt of Lincoln, Neb., Mrs. Rudy Wolfteich (Alta), of Bruning and Mrs. Lloyd Garner (Leta)of Lincoln; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at the Traum Vance Funeral Home,
Fairbury, Saturday, Feb. 18 at 3:00 p.m. Officiating was Rev. Thomas Damrow. Interment was in the Fairbury Cemetery.
