Ralph Dan Peckovich, 83, of Cathedral City, CA, passed away on May 4, 2007. Ralph suffered a fall in his home in Cathedral City last October. He never fully recovered and spent his final months back in Arizona. Ralph was born in Globe, AZ. in 1924 to Dushan and Mileva Peckovich. After graduating from Globe High school he completed four years of college in Arizona and played football for ASU. Ralph joined the Navy and served his country in the South Pacific during WWII. He received a Purple Heart and was honorably discharged in 1945. He eventually settled in Cathedral City where, for many years, he and his wife Dorothy Arnold owned and operated a restaurant called Charcoal Charlie's. Ralph was preceded in death by the love of his life, Dorothy, a brother George and a sister Diane. He is survived by his sisters Helen Morgan, Del-C Brown, a brother Steve Peck and Louise Woods (who he referred to as his little sister), a niece Alexis Kapalkoff, great niece Erika Kapalkoff, nephews Jeffrey Brown and Dan Peckovich and his sister-in-law Doris Peckovich. Ralph also wanted to thank his caregivers Elena ("Mama"), Claudia, Mike, and Alan. He greatly appreciated the special care they provided. He loved the visits from his California buddy Walt and his old friends from Globe Bob, Vito, Tom, and all the rest. In honor of Ralph's request there will be no service. HE WILL BE RETURNED TO CALIFORNIA WHERE HE WILL JOIN HIS BELOVED WIFE.
