Irene passed away peacefully in San Pablo, CA on November 4, 2017, at the age of 95. She was born in Minnesota October 15, 1922. to William and Mary Corcoran. She lived on the family farm, the middle child of 16 siblings. She married Clarence Glieden in 1942 in Sedan, MN. With a son and two daughters they moved to Richmond, CA, in 1950 and welcomed another daughter. Clarence passed away too soon in 1963.

Irene ran a nursery school for 22 years. She was a devoted member of St Joseph's Church in Pinole. She was an excellent cook, and a winning bingo player. She seldom lost at Scrabble and was in a bowling league until her late 80's. She will be so missed.

She is survived by her children, Henry (Marge) Glieden, Sharon Patchen, JoAnn Olech and Clarene (Sharyn) Glieden, brothers Thomas, William, and sister Ilene. She adored her 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence, husband Emil Rard, grandsons Andy Patchen and Brando Olech, and son in law Andy Olech.

Visitation November 11 at 10:00 am at St Joseph's Church, 837 Tennent Ave, Pinole. Funeral mass at 11:00 am. Reception to follow St Joseph's Cemetery, 2540 Church Ln, San Pablo.
