Ruth Wood was born in England, surely in South Wingfield, Derbyshire. Her parents were William Wood and his wife, Margaret Gibbens. In 1638, her parents left Matlock, Derbyshire, bound for New England. Ruth and her brother Michael, along with Michael's new wife Mary, traveled with them. The family settled in the new town of Concord, Massachusetts.

Around 1643, Ruth married Thomas Wheeler, probably in Concord, about 1643. Ruth and Thomas had seven children in Concord. Thomas fought in King Philip's War as a Captain, and was wounded at Brookfield. Thomas died in Concord in 1676, from complications of his wound. Ruth also lost two sons to that war, both in January of 1677, Nathaniel and Thomas. Ruth probably died in Concord, although the record of her death has not been found. She was probably buried in the Old Hill Cemetery.

(This information was added to my memorial by Find-a-Grave, when they merged another memorial with mine.)
Thomas Wheeler and Ruth Wood were married about 1639 in Cranfield, Bedfordshire.
(I doubt that Ruth Wood ever set foot in Bedfordshire, she was married in Concord.)
Their children, born in Concord, Massachusetts:

Alice Wheeler born about 1640.

Ephraim Wheeler born about 1641.

Thomas Wheeler born about 1643.

Timothy Wheeler born about 1648.

Ruth Wheeler born April 25, 1650.

Ruth Wheeler born about 1652. (the Ruth Wheeler who was born in 1650, lived until 1741. I doubt that there was another child born in 1652 and named Ruth.

Nathaniel Wheeler born about 1655.

Joseph Wheeler born March 13, 1656.

Deliverance Wheeler born about 1663.
