On July 24, 1944 Eastlyn Joseph was born to the late Andrew Joseph and Veronica Alleyne in Trinidad and Tobago. She attended Morvant E.C. and Burke High school. Eastlyn married becoming an Aleong and had four boys.
Eastlyn migrated to the United States in January 1972 and sent for her boys Collin, Keith and Roger for a better opportunity at life. She worked as a Nurse’s aide at University of Maryland Hospital. .
Eastlyn became ill in 1987 and thereafter it was one complication after the other. Her family looked forward to her cooking especially on the holidays. She enjoyed preparing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Don’t get her twisted!!! She would tell you how she felt in a heartbeat and you know what words she would use to express herself.
Her faith, strength, determination, and the love for her children kept her fighting. She fought until the very end with God in her heart. She loved all of her family (everyone). Eastlyn would always support her family and close friends. The relationship she had with her sister baby was priceless.
On March 11, 2020 our father called Eastlyn home to be with her there children Steve, Keith, and Roger Aleong and the late love her life Sylvester George O’Brien. Eastlyn’s loving smile and warm heart will greatly be missed.
Eastlyn Aleong leaves to cherish her memory: her son Collin Aleong, Daughter Nicole O”Brien-Dupye (Antione) Four sisters Martha (Baby), Eva, Martha, and Erma who proceeded her in death. Two surviving brothers Samuel, and Carlton. Three brothers Curtis, Elmo, and Brother Erol who proceeded her in death. Eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
