CHESAPEAKE – Mrs. Lillie Mae Bly of 212 Dominion Blvd., the wife of Rufus R. Bly and a native of Norfolk County, died Sunday in a Norfolk hospital.

She was a daughter of Mrs. Lizzie Cuffee of Chesapeake.

She was a member of Greater Bethel AME Church and member of its choir, Missionary Circle, and Busy Bee Club, and chairman of the scholarship committee of Sunday School Union 1. She was a member of Venus Eastern Star Chapter 42.

Also, seven brothers, Henry Cuffee, Irwin Cuffee, Anderson Cuffee, Clarence Cuffee, Dennis Cuffee, and Charlie Cuffee Jr. of Chesapeake, and James Cuffee of Washington; and 20 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at noon in Greater Bethel AME Church by the Rev. D. S. Strong. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Visitation at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, will be from 6 p.m. today until 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
