Mary Evelyn “Mik” Phillips, age 75, of Douglas, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Vista Park. Ms. Phillips was born on November 12, 1944 in Coffee County, Georgia the daughter of the late Preston Perry Phillips Sr. and the late Irma Grantham Phillips.

Ms. Phillips was a former secretary with Elixir Industries for twenty-three years and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Preston Perry (Junebug) Phillips Jr and Johnny Samuel Phillips and a sister, Betty Jane Phillips Wright.

Survivors include;
Two daughters,: Tana Johnson Hutcheson (Chris) of Douglas, GA and Kelly Johnson Given (Jamie) of Broxton, GA.
Five grandchildren: Christopher Cravey (Adrean), Chad Roberts (Amanda), Nicholas Jowers (Katelyn), Kay-Lyn Jowers and Edy Creech; eight great grandchildren, Luke Cravey, Cadence Cravey, Aria Flanders, Anden Flanders, Joselyn Floyd, Brock Roberts, Alayna Roberts and Nicodemus Jowers.
Three sisters: Sarah Samantha Phillips Wiggins of Douglas, GA, Annie Faye Phillips Mote of Douglas, GA and Virginia Ruth Phillips Lewis of Douglas.
several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 11:00am at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gregory Pope and Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. The interment followed at New Hope Church Cemetery.
